EI currently holds over 30 patents related to shot peening control technology- proof of our efforts toward the perpetuation of shot peening technology. We are propelling the shot peening industry into today’s industrial space- with coming advancements in sensor technology and Industry 4.0 compatibility.

EI is also a founding partner in Purdue University’s Center for Surface Engineering and Enhancement: a research consortium focused on shot peening and additive manufacturing. EI also strives to be a source of education for the shot peening industry. The robust training programs offered by our Shot Peening Training Division have reached hundreds of professionals, whether at one of our annual training workshops or a private training session. Our industry magazine, The Shot Peener, makes shot peening accessible to over 4,000 annual subscribers across 80 countries.
